Manitowoc County Recycling Center is pleased to announce the addition of a new drug drop box at the Kiel Police Department. They will accept unwanted medication M-F from 7:30am to 3pm. Previously, Kiel and Schleswig residents utilized a once a year collection event to safely dispose of their unwanted meds. This should be much more convenient! To use the drug drop box, empty your pills into a zip lock bag that is quart size or smaller and deposit them into the opening. Liquid and powder medications can remain in their containers, but should have their caps tightened. For safety and efficiency, do not drop any sharps, thermometers, or pill bottles/boxes into the drug drop box.
